ANAHATA CHAKRA

                      ANAHATA CHAKRA

The fourth Chakra of the human body is "Anahata Chakra". Which means "unstruck".
It is associated with balance, calmness and serenity.
The word Anahata also means "sound produced without touching two parts and pure or clean".

The element associated with Anahata Chakra is air, it shows integrating spiritual understanding of love, compassion, and connection to everything you encounter. Air is like love within and all around. It is located in the region of heart, in the centre of the chest, and this is why it is also known as the Heart centre. Just as the Heart is regarded to love, Anahata is the seat of the love. It is infinite like love and the extent of the radiance of the Anahata Chakra depends on the depths of relationship. This Chakra is all about loving our fellows with kindness and transfiguration, thinking of others before our ownself.
The Chakra also serve as the respositories of psychological or mental tendencies, habits, desires, which descend from the subconscious mind.

When the energy created by this Chakra move in the positive direction, the Heart Chakra can express itself as the unconditional love,  "bhakti" pure, divine love, devotion, which leads one towards the spiritual liberation.
Another power arising from this Chakra is, the power to fullfil desires.

When one's energy is going downward towards lower consciousness, it may led one towards further involvement in the world of delusion. One's emotions become confused and unbalanced. which leads to jealousy, sadness and despair.

In the symbolic picture of Anahat Chakra there is lotus with twelve petals, these petals represent the divine qualities of heart like, empathy, harmony, bliss, understanding, purity, kindness, peace, love, compassion, unity, clarity, and forgiveness.

The seed mantra for this chakra is "YAM".

Yoga posses affecting this Chakra are:
